Two dead after collision on the A358 near Taunton

Two people have died after a crash on the A358 near Taunton.
It happened at around 6:40am this morning (30 September) in Combe Florey and involved a white Mazda Bongo van and a Volvo lorry.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services personnel, the two occupants of the Mazda died at the scene.
Police say the families of the victims have been updated and they are being offered support by a specialist officer.
The A358 remains closed from the Bishops Lydeard junction at Station Road to Coggins Lane, Combe Florey while enquiries continue.
Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are being asked to contact them.
