Spoof Turnip Prize announces four finalists for 2025
The award which pokes fun at the Turner Prize will be handed out at The New Inn on Tuesday the second of December
A spoof art competition in Wedmore is gearing up for its big night.
The Turnip Prize - which pokes fun at the Turner Prize - will be handed out at The New Inn on Tuesday the second of December.
This year’s finalists include pieces called “Coldplay” and “Only Fans”, with organisers auctioning off the chance to be a judge to raise money for charity.
The prize goes to whoever creates "art” with the least effort.
This year’s finalists are:
- “Coldplay” by M.I Boverred (The book ‘A Winter’s Tale’)
- “Bitter n Twisted” by Ali Can (A twisted can of Bitter)
- “Free Palace Stein” by Wes T. Bank (An empty Crystal Palace Stein with a zero price tag)
- “Only Fans” by West Country Weirdos (One big fan and one small fan)
