Sinkhole closes road in Somerset

There's an emergency road closure this afternoon on Station Road in Castle Cary - because of what the council's called a 'developing situation' with a sinkhole.

In a statement, Travel Somerset said: "Due to the developing situation with a sink hole on Station Road, Castle Cary the road will now be closed to all vehicles between Victoria Gardens and Almshouse Close until further notice.

"Official diversion routes will be in place."
