The Royal Bath & West Show is set to return to Shepton Mallet, offering three days of countryside entertainment, farming showcases, and family attractions from 28th to 30th May 2026.

Spread across 240 acres of the Bath & West Showground, the event blends agricultural heritage with modern family fun, becoming one of the most anticipated annual gatherings in the South West.

Opening Day: Thursday 28th May

The show kicks off with a jam-packed programme starting at 9am.

The opening day promises a thrilling start with actor Martin Clunes inaugurating the brand new Festival of Heavy Horses.

Visitors can enjoy Main Ring displays with events like the Shetland Pony Grand National, showjumping, and a vintage vehicle parade.

There's something for everyone with hands-on family attractions, celebrity cooking demonstrations in the Great British Kitchen, and animal encounters at Lakeside Farm.

The opening day also introduces Bark & West, a special area for dog enthusiasts with activities and displays.

Later in the day, The Wurzels will bring their iconic sounds to the Pilton Tent.

Farming and Family Entertainment: Friday 29th May

Friday maintains the focus on agriculture and entertainment, showcasing Main Ring events such as heavy horses and the Livestock Grand Parade.

Expect countryside skill demonstrations in the Woodland & Countryside Arena, enticing horticulture displays, and exhibitions exploring beekeeping.

Roaming performers and celebrity appearances add to the vibrant atmosphere.

Evening entertainment ramps up at the Pilton Tent, making it one of the most lively nights of the show.

Grand Finale: Saturday 30th May

Saturday is traditionally the busiest day, boasting a packed arena schedule and major livestock showcases.

Garden lovers can look forward to Saturday, where horticultural expert Adam Frost will share his gardening wisdom in the Horticultural Village.

Family attractions including Lakeside Farm, the Safety Zone, and the vintage fairground promise fun for all ages.

Visitors can enjoy extensive shopping and artisan markets, alongside local food and drink tastings from regional producers.

Live music and entertainment continue throughout the day, ensuring a memorable experience to cap off the event.

Attractions Across All Three Days

Throughout the event, you can experience continuous attractions such as the Woodland & Countryside Arena, Horticulture Village, food and drink halls, and the Bees & Honey marquee.

The showground opens daily at 9am and closes at 6pm, with extended hours on Thursday and Friday evenings for music and entertainment.
