Police are making enquiries after remains were found washed up on the beach at Burnham-on-Sea.
Avon and Somerset Police said: "Police are making enquiries to identify a man whose remains were found washed up on the beach at Burnham-on-Sea at about 7.30pm on Sunday 19 April.
“Members of the public made the tragic discovery and police, ambulance and coastguard attended.
“The deceased is believed to have been in the water for less than a month.
“No identification has been found and the death is currently being treated as unexplained, pending postmortem examination.”
