Police seek help to identify man in Norton Fitzwarren fraud investigation
Two similar offences linked to case in Bath and Weston-super-Mare
Officers are appealing for the public's help to identify a man connected with a fraud investigation in Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton.
The incident occurred at 9.30am on 24th April when a seller met a buyer after advertising computer equipment on Facebook Marketplace.
The buyer used false payment details to claim the transaction was successful, took a computer graphics card, mobile phone, and laptop without paying.
Investigations have linked this case to two similar offences reported the previous day in Bath and Weston-super-Mare, employing the same method.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail while enquiries continue.
Police have released an image of a man they wish to identify, believing he may have valuable information for the investigation.
The suspect is described as white, stocky, and between 20 and 25 years old.
Anyone who recognises him or has information about the event is urged to call police.
