Yeovil Town have praised medical staff - after a fan fell seriously ill following yesterday's 2-2 draw with Eastleigh.

The Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and South Western 'land' ambulances were called to the ground - with the Somerset club saying their 'thoughts are with the individual and their family.'

Manager Mark Cooper spoke after the game:

A spokesperson for Yeovil FC said: "We are deeply grateful to the swift and dedicated response of our medical staff, the Eastleigh medical team, and the stewards who acted with such professionalism and compassion.

"We extend our sincere thanks to the South Western Ambulance Service and the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance for their swift support and care.

"Our thoughts are with the individual and their family during this challenging period."

Taunton Town beat Tiverton 3-nill in their Boxing Day feature and afterwards Peacock's manager Richard Luffman said he was proud of his players in his post-match interview (see link).
