A three-vehicle crash has happened after an oil leak from a tanker in Somerset.

Police say they were called to the A37 near Chelwood at around 8am this morning (Thursday 25th September).

The road was immediately closed.

Three people have been treated for injuries which are not believed to be serious.

It's expected the closure between the A37 junction with the B3130 and the turn off for Birchwood Lane will be in place for most of the day as a clean up is being carried out.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and follow diversions at the Chelwood roundabout.
