Jamie Fowler, a 32-year-old from Locking, North Somerset, has been sentenced to two years in prison for breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Fowler was sentenced at Swindon Crown Court on October 13 after previously pleading guilty to the charge.

The SHPO, which Fowler has been subject to for over a decade, specifically prohibits him from contacting or approaching any female under 16 years of age.

On July 15, 2025, Fowler drove to Trowbridge and approached a 15-year-old female student walking home from school.

Distressed by his actions and inappropriate comments, the student called her foster mum in fear for her safety.

Local Crime Investigator Dalton emphasised the importance of these protective conditions, stating, “These conditions exist to protect young people, yet he chose to deliberately disregard them.”

Dalton added that the victim's bravery in reporting the incident was commendable and played a crucial role in ensuring Fowler faced justice.

In addition to his prison sentence, Fowler has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for ten years and must pay a surcharge of £187.

Fowler will also be included in the Children's Barred List or Adults' Barred List.
