A new café and art gallery is set to open soon in Taunton - to support refugees and asylum seekers.

The Without Borders café is being launched by charity CHARIS - who hope the venue will offer chances of work experience and bringing the community together.

It will also incorporate local foods from refugees native countries.

David Mann is from the charity, he said: "When people are given refugee status, they struggle to find employment.

"That's not because they aren't highly qualified but there qualifications struggle to transfer over to the UK.

"As well, there's a lot of trauma and we find that are is extremely therapeutic.

"We're hoping to use that space to have people from the wider community as well come and enjoy art."

The café and art gallery is set to open next month.
