Fire crews respond to blaze at Keinton Mandeville stables
The agricultural fire in Somerset drew resources from three stations
Firefighters were called to a fire at stables on Castle Street in Somerton, Keinton Mandeville, on the evening of 20th September 2026.
According to reports received by Fire Control, multiple calls were made to alert them to the blaze.
Crews immediately mobilised two fire engines from Castle Cary and Somerton, as well as a water carrier from Yeovil, to attend to the emergency.
Despite the challenging scenario, the fire has now been successfully extinguished.
Personnel used one hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus sets, and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.
The station has reported that two pumps remain on the site to ensure that the situation is fully under control.
