An investigation has started to work out what started a fire which completely destroyed an apartment in a town in Somerset.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue sent two fire engines initially after being called to the flat on the first floor of a building in Wellington at around 11.25am on Tuesday 14 July.

Another two appliances were called out due to the number of calls they received.

They say two hose reel jets, four breathing apparatus and triple extension ladders were used during the incident, which took around seven hours to deal with.
