A Glastonbury church will be closed throughout the month of May, to try and curb anti-social behaviour.

St John the Baptist in the village say the churchyard and all activities will be stopped for 30 days, starting today (Thursday 1st May).

The only exceptions will be Sunday services and funerals there.

In a social media post, the church say the decision's been made with 'regret' and that they 'hope this period of resetting may give other agencies a time to reassess allocation of resources to make the area accessible to all'.

They've also said the closure is to keep the church, congregation and visitors safe.
