Firefighters rescue ram called Rambo after he gets stuck inside concrete pipe in Somerset
A crew from Somerton slid Rambo out using a chimney rod, rope and a sheet
Firefighters have rescued an 100kg ram which had become stuck inside a concrete pipe in Somerset.
A crew from Somerton Fire Station were called on Sunday to Keinton Mandeville to reports that a ram was trapped.
On arrival the team found the Ram, named Rambo, "firmly wedged" inside a pipe.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service said due to the "unique" nature of the call the crew had to "think outside the box" and use several different pieces of equipment to free Rambo.
The team used chimney rods, and managed to secure a GP line around Rambo while positioning a hearth sheet beneath him.
Once the setup was complete, they pulled the line, allowing Rambo to slide along the sheet and out of the pipe.
Rambo who was unharmed was then left in the care of local farmers.
The unusual incident also marked Somerton Fire Station's 200th call out of the year.
