Crews tackle blaze in Burnham-on-Sea

Crews have been tackling a fire that spread from a garden to a home in Burnham-on-Sea.

Teams were called yesterday evening - and said good progress was being made overnight in putting out the flames.

In a statement, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "We have been dealing with a house fire in the Priestley Way area of Burnham-on-Sea this evening.

"The incident is now scaling down, however due to smoke in the air, local residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed."
