Boy injured in fail-to-stop crash in Henstridge

Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed an investigation continues after an 8-year-old boy was hit in a fail-to-stop crash in Henstridge.
The incident happened just after 5pm last Thursday - 13 March - with police rushed to Furge Lane, where they confirmed the driver of the car involved failed to stop at the scene.
In a statement sent to Greatest Hits Radio, officers said: "We were called at just after 5pm on Thursday (March 13), after a car was in collision with an eight-year-old boy on a scooter in Furge Lane, Henstridge.
“The driver of the car did not stop at the scene of the collision.
“The boy was checked over at the scene but did not suffer any serious injuries.
“About two hours later, officers stopped a car in Sherborne and arrested a man on suspicion of offences including failing to stop at the scene of a collision and dangerous driving.
“The man was interviewed and has been released under investigation for further enquiries to take place.
