Body of missing man found near M5

A body has been recovered during searches for a missing man in Somerset

Police were called at around 12.50pm yesterday (8 August) to a location on the M5 northbound, between junctions 22 and 21 near Loxton and Banwell.

Officers attended and recovered a body. Formal identification has not yet been completed, but it's believed to be that of 52-year-old Scott Morris, who went missing on 23 July.

His next of kin have been informed.

Avon and Somerset Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
