Police seek witnesses to tragic A37 collision involving lorry and motorbike

Fatal collision on A37 near Shepton Mallet claims life of motorcyclist in his 50s

A motorcyclist in his 50s has died after a collision between a lorry and a motorbike on the A37 near Shepton Mallet.

The incident occurred near the junction with the A367 at 7.48am on 6th March.

Despite the swift intervention of emergency services, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the lorry was assessed by ambulance crews but was not seriously injured.

Authorities are requesting assistance from the public, asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
