A man from Woodfalls has been handed a three-year disqualification after crashing his car and fleeing the scene, having been drink driving.
Simon Kapuscinski was stopped by police in Tidworth on 25th August following reports he had been driving erratically and had been involved in a collision, but he had left the scene.
Officers found the 36-year-old just eight minutes after the collision, which happened in Bulford.
Kapuscinski’s vehicle had significant body work damage and he appeared to be intoxicated, subsequently failing a roadside drugs test.
After being taken into custody, Kapuscinski blew twice the legal alcohol limit.
Appearing at Salisbury Magistrates Court on Friday (22nd September), Kapuscinski pleaded guilty to drink driving and was handed the three-year ban.
He's also been ordered to pay fines and costs totalling more than £250.
