A woman has been charged with 19 offences of criminal damage after multiple buildings in Salisbury city centre were tagged with graffiti.

Several shopfronts were marked with graffiti on Sunday evening (23rd March), prompting a swift response from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team and CCTV operators.

A suspect was identified and arrested shortly after the first report.

20 year old Daniella Chester, from Oxford Road in Bournemouth, was later charged with multiple counts of criminal damage, including damage to Wiltshire Police property while in custody.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "We take incidents of criminal damage seriously, particularly when they impact local businesses and the wider community. Thanks to quick action by officers and CCTV operators, a suspect was identified and detained soon after the offence was reported."

Ms Chester was remanded in custody, to appear at Salisbury Magistrates' Court today (Tuesday 25th March).
