Organisers of the WOMAD festival have announced it will return in July at a new location in Wiltshire.

The World of Music, Arts and Dance festival, co-founded by musician Peter Gabriel, will be held at Neston Park near Corsham.

This marks a relocation from its previous site at Charlton Park near Malmesbury, where it had been taking place since 2007.

Organisers confirmed on social media that they have been granted a licence by Wiltshire Council, enabling the event to go ahead this summer.

They thanked the council and local people for their support during the process.

“We are thrilled to announce that we have been granted our licence for WOMAD Neston Park,” organisers wrote on Facebook.

They added: “We want to express a profound thank you to Wiltshire Council and local residents for being extremely supportive through this process, believing in our vision and helping sustain our beloved independent festival in our new home at Neston Park.

“We’re getting closer and closer to being back in the fields...”

The festival had moved to ensure its long-term survival and is now set to take place across four days at its new location from 23rd July 2026.

Up to 29,999 attendees are expected to enjoy live music and performances at the event.
