Wiltshire Police re-instate officer after dismissal appeal upheld
A police appeals tribunal ruled that Detective Sergeant Gareth Snoad should be demoted instead of fired.
A Wiltshire Police Officer sacked after admitting gross misconduct has had his dismissal overturned.
Detective Sergeant Gareth Snoad was dismissed last April. However, a police appeals tribunal was held in January and it ruled that a rank demotion should replace the sacking.
Wiltshire Police say they accept the findings of the appeal and will work with Detective Constable Snoad to reintegrate him to the organisation.
