They're aiming to achieve the Wiltshire Police Challenge badge
Around 100 young girls from across Wiltshire will be visiting Police Headquarters today (Sunday 9th March) are part of a Girl guiding event.
It's part of their Wiltshire Police Challenge Badge.
Today's event aims to build critical thinking, leadership and an appreciation of public service.
Three activities will seek to challenge and inspire participants.
The group will:
• Design their own police force – create a force vision, set priorities, and design a structure to fit the needs and budget of our county.
• Solve a crime - an immersive training exercise where they will gather evidence to solve a burglary.
• Uniformed Operations challenge – learn all about protective clothing and equipment and take part in a real public order training exercise.
These activities aim to provide valuable insights into the world of policing, while simultaneously instilling important life skills for the participants.
Once all three activities are completed, badges will be awarded by Chief Constable Catherine Roper.
