Half a tonne of rubbish removed from Wiltshire's A36
The Council's contractors have been cleaning up verges
Around half a tonne of waste has been removed from the side of the A36 through Wiltshire.
The Council's contractors have been carrying out litter picks near Cley Hill, at Standerwick and around Wilton.
A total of 43 bags of litter has been picked up, with 35 traffic cones and signs left behind after roadworks and various vehicle parts and tyres.
It's been part of regular clean-ups along major routes across Wiltshire.
The Council's asked us to avoid leaving anything behind while driving, saying on social media:
"Please pay your part, help us keep the Wiltshire countryside beautiful and dispose of your waste responsibly."
