OPCC grants offered to Wiltshire charities and organisations
As much as £5,000 is on offer
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is offering grants to charities and organisations in Wiltshire of up to £5,000.
The Police and Crime Commissioner’s Community Action Fund is delivered in collaboration with Wiltshire Community Foundation and aims to help voluntary groups to deliver activities in line with priorities set out in PCC Philip Wilkinson’s #MakingWiltshireSafer Police and Crime Plan 2022-25.
The 2023 application process has been redesigned to allow smaller groups better access to the grants and there will also be multiple opportunities to apply across the year.
Proceeds from the Police Property Act, where unclaimed property from a crime scene has been auctioned, is funding the grants.
Wiltshire Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Wilkinson said: “My office is looking to help fund voluntary groups, organisations and charities that tackle major issues like anti-social behaviour, drug and alcohol related crimes and supporting young people. It’s a really great way for us to give back to the community with the money raised from unclaimed property.
“In previous years we have awarded thousands of pounds to some incredible causes which will make a difference to the lives of people living in Wiltshire and Swindon.”
Applications can be made on the Community Action Fund page.
