A 35-year-old man from West Wiltshire was further arrested on the 3rd June in connection with the ongoing investigation known as Operation Willow.

Operation Willow is a complex investigation looking into the deaths of several adults within a healthcare setting in the Wiltshire region.

According to reports, the suspect was taken into custody under suspicion of two counts of wilful neglect by a care worker.

He had previously been arrested in September the prior year on suspicion of six counts of gross negligence manslaughter and four counts of ill-treatment or wilful neglect by a care worker.

A 60-year-old woman implicated in the same inquiry remains on conditional bail, linked to allegations of one count of gross negligence manslaughter and one count of ill-treatment or wilful neglect by a care worker.

Both involved were employed by the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

They were suspended from their roles and are no longer associated with the trust.

An internal investigation was launched swiftly by the trust upon discovering concerns, resulting in a police referral.

The trust continues to cooperate with Wiltshire Police as the inquiry progresses.

For those with more details that might aid the investigation, Wiltshire Police requests contact via their major incident portal.

The trust reassures the public that there is no ongoing risk to patient safety, urging the community to continue using emergency services when needed.

Police say no additional statements will be issued as the investigation is active.
