Two men arrested in Salisbury on suspicion of drug supply after a police stop

Officers found bags of white powder and cash in separate vehicles

Two 20-year-old men have been arrested in Salisbury on suspicion of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs.

The arrests followed police stops of two vehicles on Monday, 31st August.

During a patrol near Southampton Road, officers stopped a vehicle and arrested its driver after discovering multiple bags of white powder hidden in a cigarette packet.

Another vehicle, linked to the arrested individual, was stopped near Salisbury train station after a short pursuit by the police.

A significant amount of cash was found in the second vehicle.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, as well as suspicion of failing to stop and dangerous driving.

Both men are currently on conditional bail until 30th November, while further enquiries are conducted.
