Police in Trowbridge are calling for witnesses to a suspected arson on Monday afternoon to come forward.

A fire was started around 3.30pm in a field near Meadway, west Trowbridge, with a Fire Service report suggesting three teenages had triggered the blaze, which caused significant damage to farm crops and spread to nearby bushes.

A second fire is then believed to have been started in an abandoned building near Bradford Road a little while later.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "If you saw anything suspicious, or have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from either area, please get in touch.

"Any information, no matter how small, could assist our investigation."
