Three men charged after aggravated burglary near Malmesbury
Police were called to the incident at around 11:10pm on September 22
Three people have been charged following an aggravated burglary near Malmesbury.
Police were called to the incident in Callow Hill, Brinkworth, at approximately 11.10pm on September 22 after three men are reported to have entered the address and assaulted the occupants. Damage was also caused to a vehicle outside the address.
Three men have now been charged in connection with the incident.
Gary Hines, 42, of The Maltings, Royal Wootton Bassett, Darren Massey, 45, of Thorney Park, Wroughton and Thomas Allen, 24, of Thorney Park, Wroughton, have all been charged with aggravated burglary, assault, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
All three were remanded in custody to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court today (24/9).
Det Con Rebecca Taylor said: “These arrests and subsequent charges have come about as a result of a joined up investigation by CID, burglary and gangs team and CPT. I am pleased we have been able to secure charges swiftly after this incident took place. I would like to reassure the public that incidents of this nature are taken extremely seriously and there is no wider threat to the community."
