Investigations continue after a blaze at a barn over the weekend near Salisbury.

Wiltshire Police have confirmed that two 12-year-olds have since been arrested on suspicion of arson.

In a statement, police said: "Two 12-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire in a barn at High Post Farm, near Salisbury at about 6pm yesterday (17/05).

"There were no reported injuries however, it is estimated that a substantial quality of farm machinery was destroyed in the fire, which also destroyed the barn.

"We are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have recorded dash cam footage or who may have footage of the fire itself or was in the area at the time.

"We would particularly like to hear from the driver of a 'dark' coloured Mini who stopped nearby and reportedly spoke to the two boys.

"If you can help please call us on 101 quoting log 54250059960.

"You can also leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
