Part of Stallard Street in Trowbridge will be closed to all road users between 7pm and 11pm tonight for urgent repair works.

It's to allow Wessex Water to replace a manhole cover and carry out work associated with that process.

The closure is the result of an order from Wiltshire Council, which made an made the decision on Tuesday.

It's hoped the closure, which will be from the property known as 34 St. Georges Terrace, will only be needed for one day.

Access is to be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, with signage being put in place to guide diverted traffic.

Drivers are warned delays are likely.

The alternative route is: Stallard Street (unaffected length) - Newtown - Frome Road - Bradley Road - County Way - Longfield Road West - Bythesea Road.
