One of Salisbury's most popular pre-Christmas events is set to return later this year.

The Rockbourne Early Christmas Fair is to be held Salisbury Racecourse from 14th to 16th October, bringing three days of festive shopping and fundraising for Salisbury District Hospital charity, the Stars Appeal.

The fair welcomes thousands of visitors every year and features over 90 handpicked stalls selling fashion, jewellery, homeware, cosmetics, gourmet food, and unique gifts. More than a third of this years stalls are new additions to the event.

The fair supports the Stars Appeal, which seeks to raise £2 million this year to fund various hospital projects.

These initiatives include acquiring new equipment such as a mammogram machine for the Breast Unit and enhancing existing buildings.

Ongoing support will be provided for cancer patients and the Children's Unit, which offers a dedicated play assistant, as well as maintaining the Stars Appeal Wi-Fi.

Last year, the event raised £68,191, setting a new fundraising record by surpassing the previous year's total of £62,081.

Opening hours are from 10am, with late-night shopping available on Thursday until 7.30pm. Entry costs £6 per person, with a special price of £3 after 6pm on Thursday. Free parking is provided.
