A "galloping gig" pushchair owned by Queen Victoria is up for auction in Salisbury today (1st October 2025).

It's designed to resemble a horse-drawn carriage, and is believed to have been used by Victoria's grandchildren.

A photograph in the Royal Collection from 1899 shows young King Edward VIII and King George VI playing in a similar gig at Park Cottage.

Two grey horses on the pushchair move up and down when the gig is pushed.

It's expected to fetch between £1200 and £1800 at Woolley And Wallis, City Centre Salerooms, 51-61 Castle Street, SP1 3SU.
