Police arrest three men for suspected hare coursing near Swindon
Arrests follow an incident near Barbury Castle
Three men have been arrested near Barbury Castle, Swindon, following reports of suspected hare coursing activity.
Police were called to the scene around 1pm on 2nd September after witnesses reported a vehicle in a field with a dog chasing hares.
The vehicle left the field before officers from the Swindon Neighbourhood Policing Team located and stopped it.
The occupants were arrested under suspicion of trespassing with intent to pursue hares using dogs and possessing equipment for hare coursing.
All three have since been released on bail as investigations continue.
