A 19-year-old man from Melksham has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, following in a series of police raids on Tuesday morning (21/7).
Officers entered properties on College Row, Pembroke Road and Sangster Avenue around 8am this morning.
They seized quantities of Class A and Class B drugs, thousands of pounds in cash and two swords.
Melksham Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant, Charly Chilton, said it was a successful morning.
"We'll do everything that we can to ensure that we enforce the law surrounding drugs and drug dealing and making sure that we get it out of our community," she told Greatest Hits Radio.
There was a focus on seizing mobile phones related to the suspects at each address.
Sgt Chilton says they can hold the key to an investigation: "Mobile phones are used by everybody in every possible walk of life at the moment, so mobile phones are key in that they can hold pivotal information relating to investigations."
She told us that these raids are only possible thanks to the public giving them the intel they need and called for us to continue feeding them vital information to disrupt drug networks, vowing to keep targeting illegal drug use in Wiltshire.
