A 19-year-old man has admitted robbing a teenager on a bus near Corsham.

Tyreece Corbin, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to robbery at Swindon Crown Court today (12th January).

The incident happened on 17th April 2025 on the X31 bus near Corsham.

Police say Corbin engaged a 16-year-old boy in conversation before demanding he hand over his Air Pods, otherwise he would assault him with a weapon in his bag.

Fearing for his safety, the victim handed over the Air Pods and got off the bus shortly afterwards.

Police say he reported the crime the next day.

Corbin was arrested, charged and remanded in custody.

The following day, he was released on bail by the courts, but following multiple breaches he was remanded into prison where he has so far served nearly six months.

Detective Constable Elena Brown said:

"Corbin left his young victim feeling scared and anxious, which is preventing him from getting out and about and enjoying his hobbies like a normal teenager should be able to do.

"I am pleased Corbin has been remanded – his multiple breaches of his court bail show he has no remorse for his actions."

Corbin is due to appear at Swindon Crown Court for sentencing on 5th March.
