Man charged in connection with multiple attacks in Malmesbury

An man has been charged after an arrest was made in Malmesbury in connection to reports of multiple attacks over the weekend.
No one was injured.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police confirmed: "A man has been charged with various offences following an incident in Malmesbury on Saturday (02/08).
"Thomas Lawton, 49, of High Street, Malmesbury, has been charged with sexual assault, common assault, attempted robbery, two counts of threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place and two counts of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
"He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court this morning (05/08).
"We would like to thank the public for their support while this investigation was carried out."
