Man charged after Warminster assault

A man has been charged following an incident in Warminster.

Officers were called by the ambulance service to a report of an assault in Furlong shortly before 5.45pm on 24 July.

A man in his 30s, from Shaftesbury, was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries to his arm.

Richard Andrew, 39, of no fixed abode, appeared before Swindon Magistrates' Court charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Swindon Crown Court on 19 August.
