A man has been charged after a pursuit which ended when his vehicle collided with a car, seriously injuring a 14-year-old girl.

Patrick McCann, 34, of Walnut Avenue, Hillingdon, has been charged with failing to stop a vehicle when required by an officer, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, escaping from lawful custody, breach of a court order and taking a vehicle without consent.

The charges relate to an incident on Sunday February 1 where police pursuit took place from Chippenham to Lacock after officers spotted a suspected stolen vehicle.
