Man arrested in connection with Warminster assault

A man has been arrested, on suspicion of GBH with intent, after an incident in Warminster.
Officers were called by the ambulance service to a report of an assault in Furlong, shortly before 5.45pm on Thursday (23/7).
A man in his 30s, from Shaftesbury, was taken to hospital, with potentially life-changing injuries to his arm.
A man in his 30s, from the local area, was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and taken to Melksham custody for questioning, where he remains today.
A cordon is in place at the property, while inquiries are carried out by officers to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
