Man arrested and fined £1,000 for fly-tipping in West Knoyle
It follows an investigation by the council
A man has been arrested and fined following a fly-tipping investigation led by Wiltshire Council.
Early yesterday morning, officers working on behalf of the council arrested a male suspect in connection with a fly-tipping incident reported in West Knoyle, Wiltshire. The arrest was made under Section 33 of the Environmental Protection Act.
Following the arrest, the individual was interviewed in police custody and has now been issued with a £1,000 fixed penalty fine.
Wiltshire Council continues to take a firm stance against environmental crimes and urges residents to report any incidents of fly-tipping. Investigations like this show that those responsible will be held accountable.
