The driver of the BMW, a man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police say the driver of the Corsa – Brett Davidson, 67, of Salisbury Road, Blandford Forum – has now been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning (06/07) where he was remanded into custody. He is next due to appear at Salisbury Crown Court on 5th August for a plea hearing.
