Man dies in fatal motorcycle collision near Knook as investigation launched

Three other motorcyclists remain in hospital with serious injuries

Wiltshire Police are appealing for information after a man in his 60s died following a fatal collision near Knook.

Officers were alerted to an incident taking place on the A36 near Knook at around 10:30am on Saturday morning (May 31st).

When officers arrived at the scene, they found that one car and four motorbikes had been involved in a serious crash on the road.

Emergency services were called to the scene to provide immediate medical treatment and take the motorcyclists to hospital.

However, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, one of the motorcyclists - a man in his 60s - died as a result of the injuries he sustained.

The remaining three bikers currently remain in hospital recovering from their injuries, which police have described as "serious".

Roads have been closed between Deptford and Heytesbury throughout Saturday, but are expected to open on Sunday morning (June 1st).

The force are now asking anyone who may have any information regarding the crash, or those who could have seen the crash take place to get in touch as soon as possible.

Anyone who has any information is being asked to reach out and call Wiltshire Police's Serious Collision Investigation team, quoting incident reference number 101.
