Improvement works set to lead to three weeks of delays on A338
A warning has been issued for disruption that will be caused at a traffic signal junction at the A338 in Downton from Monday.
Multi-way temporary traffic signals, including temporary signalised pedestrian crossings, will be in place for the duration of the work to manage traffic.
The work is due to last three weeks
Cllr Martin Smith, Cabinet Member for Highways, said:“The traffic signal junction at the A338 in Downton has been identified as a priority for refurbishment due to the age and condition of the existing infrastructure. This upgrade is part of our ongoing investment in modernising traffic signals across Wiltshire, helping to ensure our roads remain safe, efficient and fit for the future.
“We are committed to protecting the safety of everyone who uses our roads, whether they live in Wiltshire or are visiting, and these improvements will support that goal for many years to come. We appreciate the patience and understanding of residents and road users while we carry out these essential improvement works.”
