Man arrested for suspected indecent exposure in Corsham
Police are appealing for witnesses to further the investigation.
A man's been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure in Corsham.
Police were called after a man indecently exposed himself at around 4.30pm yesterday in Oliver Avenue. The incident was also posted onto Facebook, which received a number of comments from people saying that they had seen the suspect committing the same offence before.
Following enquiries, the suspect was located and arrested. He has been taken into custody for questioning.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Jamie Ball said: “Officers acted swiftly and proactively to identify the man that was being discussed on social media and he has been arrested in connection with the incident.
“Despite the commentary on social media, we have had very few official reports from the public of the incident.
“It is vital that anybody who witnessed the incident gets in touch with us to allow us to take witness statements and continue the investigation.
