Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a house in Calne - with local power supplies affected by the incident.

Crews from Calne and Chippenham were called out to Corfe Crescent just before 9.30am today (Tuesday 1st April), with a terraced property involved.

The fence was found to be alight, with the flames spreading to an electrical box.

Breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and a covering jet were used to put out the blaze.

Firefighters also worked with the gas and electric companies to make the area safe, with engines leaving the scene just before 1.00pm.

Power is still affected though, in Corfe Crescent and Breamor Road in particular.
