E-bikes and cannabis seized in Melksham
A weekend of proactive policing has seen three e-bikes seized along with a quantity of cannabis in Melksham.
The riders of the e-bikes were arrested for dangerous driving and possession of class B drugs.
Sgt Gemma Rutter said: "We know from reports by the public that Melksham has been suffering from incidents of youths on electric bikes, wearing balaclavas, with some suggestion of open drug supply, taking place.
"This has understandably caused some community concern and to some extent anxiety over the behaviour of these youths on the bikes.
"I'd like to thank the Melksham community for supplying us with the information required to catch these potential suspects. The public are fed up of seeing these bikes being ridden dangerously and unlawfully and we will ensure we maintain our momentum on bringing them to justice.
