A dad from Durrington is taking a well earned rest after running ten marathons in ten days.

Carl Orme finished the staggering feat on Friday (23rd October) in Swindon, having completed a marathon in ten different locations as well.

He was doing it to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, and to get into the spirit he did all 262 miles dressed as a boob.

Carl has been doing a series of challenges all throughout 2020 and is aiming to raise £10,000 for the charity.

After achieving this latest incredible feat, he has so far raised over £8,000.

By the end of the year he hopes to have run the distance of 20 marathons and is doing it as his own family and friends have been affected by breast cancer.

While doing his marathons, Carl bumped into some famous faces.

Actress Suzanne Shaw joined him at the start of run number 3 in High Wycombe, while former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies gave him words of support in Stroud.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Carl has been finding other ways of doing his fundraising.

In April, he ran up and down his driveway 3,246 times, the equivalent of 26.2 miles.
