'Disturbance' in Chippenham investigated by police

A man's approached a child during the afternoon school run

Police in Chippenham are investigating what they're calling a 'disturbance' during yesterday afternoon's school run (Wednesday 29th January).

A 12 year old boy's reported being approached by a man that's not known to him in the area of Woodlands Road and Downing Street at around 3.00pm.

Officers are asking anyone who might have information to contact them, especially if they saw a person described as:

  • Mixed race
  • Aged in his 30s
  • Around six feet tall
  • Medium build
  • Wearing denim shorts
  • Black hoodie
  • Black facemask

The child involved wasn't harmed in the incident.
