Cyclist seriously injured in Chippenham collision

Police seek assistance in identifying driver

A cyclist in his 30s was seriously injured following a collision on Hungerdown Lane in Chippenham on 8th May at approximately 3.30pm.

The incident occurred near Lidl, where a white van halted before the junction on Allington Way.

The cyclist was struck by a small grey hatchback turning right into Allington Way.

Police believe the driver was a young woman who failed to report the incident or provide her details.

The cyclist sustained GBH-level injuries, according to the authorities.

Officials have asked anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward, noting the likelihood of witnesses due to heavy traffic at the time.
